THERMAL IMAGING

A wood pellet patio heater and a propane patio heater.
A thermal image of a wood pellet patio heater next to a propane patio heater.

A side by side thermal comparison of a Timber Stove(left) and the standard propane patio heater reveals their real heating capabilities. Who wants a hot head and cold feet? Better yet, who wants to sit around a garbage can?

Propane vs Wood Pellets

We have had other patio heaters, but it was always a challenge to stay warm. This one puts out some serious heat, & you get the ambience of a fire without all the smoke.

Great addition to our backyard! We love having family dinner outside but it just gets too chilly in the spring/winter months here in Oregon. This stove really puts out the heat and is pretty cost effective as well. We have enjoyed far more meals outside this past year thanks to the lil timber.

Great stove. We love it. Handcrafted, quality materials, really fantastic product. It’s a focal point in our courtyard. We use it often to host small groups of friends and family outside during the pandemic. It puts out a ton of heat within a 6 ft radius (not as much behind the unit). Beyond 6 ft radius, it’s noticeably warm, but you’ll want a blanket on colder/windier evenings. Hats off to the Mt Angel crew on such excellent craftsmanship. We live in Oregon and are truly proud! Told lots of people about it, and those who’ve seen it in action are wowed.

Wow! Got the Big Timber this afternoon, assembled it, and now I am drinking eggnog perfectly toasting warm on a 30 degree F night. I have to rotate to keep all my body parts at one temperature…hot! The only problem I see in this heater is now I want two! Or maybe four! Great American design and craftsmanship.

Why Use Wood Pellets?

N

Efficient

Pellets can pack up to 5,8 kWh / kg. Timber Heaters generate 2X the heat vs propane.

N

Economical

Eur 5,– of fuels equals 4 hours of burn time – about 1/2 the operating cost vs propane.

N

Eco-Friendly

Wood Pellets are an industrial by-product of the saw mill industry and have a small carbon footprint.
